Sunman Toys was founded on 1985 to operate solely in the toy sector. Presently, the main business activity of the firm is toy importing, distribution and retailing. Sunman toys, which are distributed directly to all hypermarkets, and chain stores are sold in more than 300 sales points. Moreover, Sunman which has been selling toys to wholesalers and speciality stores decided to initiate its own retail chain stores with “Toyzzshop” brand in October 2001 and has reached 11 stores by early 2005. In addition, the only specialized internet toy store of Turkey “ www.toyzzshop.com ” has gone online in December 2004 with its extensive and diversive variety of toys for our customers who would rather “stay home”.

For the time being, Sunman has been the Turkish representative of 26 different toy brands and is one of the first firms in Turkey to import toys. Sunman still has the licenses to market Barbie, Sponge Bob and Pink Panther and in 1996, the company has acquired the licenses to market Walt Disney and Warner Bros toys and gifts and thus has become the leading company in licenced toys business. The first representative agreement has been signed with Zap Toys in 1987 and the others have followed. Our country which had no imported toys before 1980s has 24 millions of young population who are aged under 18. The share of the firm in branded and licensed toys market has been estimated around 30 %.

Only after extensive research, the decisions are taken to use which toy where. Sunman aims to provide the children with the right education and make them spend enjoyable time to play, so the firm has been searching the effects of the toys on children and aims to supply the best toys for them. Only for this reason Sunman imports solely branded and licensed toys and spend special attention to perform its responsibilities to the society and young population at every opportunity.
